HRCA’s Response to the Floods in Transylvania

A team of the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid (HRCA) dispacthed for Transylvania with two tons of humanitarian aid and water pumps to help flood victims and displaced families. HRCA also launched a donation campaign inviting members of the Hungarian reformed community in the region.

The Hungarian Reformed Church Aid Responds in Flood-Affected Areas

The Hungarian Reformed Church Aid (HRCA) has coordinated a response to the floods resulting from Storm Boris along the Danube River. Volunteers are packing and setting sandbags at designated sites in cities along the Danube.

The Flood Has Passed Its Peak But We Are Not Done

The flood has passed the upper parts of the Danube in Hungary, but those living within reach of the water cannot rest yet: embankments may not be able withstand the long-term weight, and with the flood gone, sandbags become hazardous waste that need to be pulled down, thus volunteers still have work to do.

Hungarian Reformed Church Aid Flood Preparations Underway

Anticipation is high on the Danube, because in the past 50 years its water has never been as high as it is right now. Estimations say the crest will reach Budapest on Thursday, but the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid is already making preparations against the flooding.
