A Real Christmas

The child is coming. Advent is the time in the church to wait and prepare for the arrival of Immanuel, God with us. For the Reformed Church in Hungary, it is a time to spread the story of His birth – no small task, to be certain.

The RCH Looks to 2013

The Church looks forward to a continuation of the RCH's aim to live as Ambassadors for Christ. It also devotes itself to the planning of many events, including the 450th celebration of the Heidelberg Catechism and 40th anniversary of the Leuenberg Agreement.

Candlelight Demonstration Against Racism

Twenty years of service in hospitals

The hospital ministry in Hungary celebrated its 20th anniversary on 24 October, at the Bethesda Children's Hospital. The Hungarian hospital ministry operates in 28 institutions. The participants evaluated the past years of their service and discussed future possibilities.

In 2013, we celebrate the 450th anniversary of our confession: the Heidelberg Catechism. Published in 1563, adopted in 1567 at the Synod of Debrecen, this document is a true heritage of our Church, something not only to be meditated upon, but to rediscover.

November Synod meeting to include international guests

An important time in the life of the church is drawing near! The biannual meeting of the General Synod will be held on 14-17 November. For the first time in the history of our church, delegates from partner churches around the world have been invited.
