The leadership of the Reformed Christian Calvinist Church in Croatia has been re-elected

The Synod of the Reformed Christian Calvinist Church in Croatia took place on 8th April in the Reformed Church of Bellye (Bilje), in the presence of the representatives of the General Convent. The Synod members elected the office bearers, in accordance with the constitution and the electoral law of the Church.

With twenty-seven ‘yes’ votes and one abstention – and five members verified to be absent – the following office bearers have been elected for the next six-year term:

● Bishop: Péter Szenn,

● Lay president: József Kel,

● Synod secretary: János Hájek,

● Deputy lay president: Igor Gamos,

● Mission coordinator: Turšić Darko,

● Treasurer: Kornélia Déra,

● Lay representative of the congregations in Baranya region: Ferenc Bíró,

● Lay representative of the congregations in Slavonia region: János Káposzta.

The Synod of the Reformed Christian Calvinist Church in Croatia has thirty-three members: representatives of the Synod Council, the pastors, and one representative from each congregation.

The General Convent of the Hungarian Reformed Church was represented by Vilmos József Kolumbán, professor of theology and deputy bishop of the Transylvanian Reformed Church District, and Balázs Ódor, ecumenical officer of the Reformed Church in Hungary. Several Croatian Protestant churches were also represented.

The Reformed Christian Calvinist Church in Croatia is a member of the General Convent, the common representative body of the Reformed Churches in the Carpathian Basin. It is also a member church of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, of the Communion of Protestant Churches in Europe, and the Conference of European Churches.
