Bethesda Hospital Awarded Health Promoting Hospital of the Year

The Health Promoting Hospital Awards were presented at the annual conference of the Hungarian Hospital Association in Mátraháza. Institutions which have provided outstanding work in the field of health promotion and prevention were awarded. In the category of ‘urban hospitals’, Bethesda Children's Hospital of the Reformed Church in Hungary received the most prestigious recognition.

Under the coordination of its Prevention Directorate, established in November 2023, the hospital has implemented complex health promotion programmes that support the well-being of its staff and promote health awareness in society.

“Free therapeutic massages, individual fitness assessments with a physiotherapist for evaluation of overall health and physical status, and subsidized sports activities are available to our employees. We support programmes that promote mental wellbeing, including community days, individual HR consultations, supervision and leadership mentoring for our staff,” said Director General György Velkey.
